Job summary

Fountain Tire Calgary Moraine is looking for an Outside Sales Representative who will help grow the commercial tire business and support customers. If you enjoy building relationships and finding new opportunities, we'd love to hear from you.

The role offers market-competitive pay of CAD 65,000–70,000 per year based on experience, plus bonus, comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits, RRSP with company matching, training, and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive sales or tire industry is an asset.
• Excellent customer service and a great attitude.
• Ability to listen and identify customer needs.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to provide a driver’s abstract.
• Team player who takes pride in their work.

Responsibilities

• Research, initiate, and implement sales strategies to grow the commercial tire business.
• Follow up with customers and continually update requirements, purchases and buying levels.
• Support customers by providing product pricing, recommending products, and arranging timely deliveries.
• Ensure that all products are billed accurately to the customer and enter information into the computer system.
• Participate in local trade shows, fleet surveys, industry associations and customer training.
• Prepare input into Fountain Tire forecasts for light truck, medium truck and OTR tires for store.
• Participate in safety initiatives and complete required e-learning and safety courses.
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual counts.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Research, initiate, and implement sales strategies to grow the commercial tire business.
• Complete necessary follow up with customers, and continually update customer requirements, purchases and buying levels.
• Support customers by providing product pricing, recommending products, and arranging timely deliveries to meet their needs.
• Ensure that all products are billed accurately to the customer and process all necessary information in the computer system.
• Participate in local trade shows, fleet surveys, industry associations and customer training.
• Prepare input into Fountain Tire forecasts for light truck, medium truck and OTR tires for store.
• Participate in all safety initiatives, as required or assigned, to guarantee safety at Fountain Tire including customers and staff, on the road, site or field.
• Complete assigned e-learning and safety courses and adhering to standards and policies as described in learning modules.
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts.

What does it take to get on track?

• Experience in the automotive sales and tire industry is an asset
• Effective listening skills with the ability to identify customer needs and provide recommendations
• Working knowledge of passenger, light truck and, specialty tires and mechanical services
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to provide a satisfactory passenger or commercial Driver’s Abstract
• Excellent customer service and a great attitude are a must
