Outside Sales Representative

Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated, and professional Outside Sales Representative who enjoys the challenge of building our reputation and business development. This position will be reporting to our Outside Sales Rep located at 1600 Reynolds Street. If you wish to have a career in a fast-paced industry – join our team!

The Outside Sales Representative drives sales within their region by strengthening customer relationships and ensuring efficient and high-quality service. This role is responsible for achieving sales targets while simultaneously promoting Convoy and maintaining its reputation.

This position can be based out of Regina or Saskatoon.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with current accounts to deliver high-level service and ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Identify potential prospects and take appropriate actions to develop new accounts.
  • Research and identify market trends to maintain awareness of competitive activity in the roofing industry.
  • Evaluate and modify marketing, pricing, and selling strategies to meet the market demands.
  • Understand and learn about the products we sell and interact regularly with suppliers to learn about new or upcoming innovations.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all orders are accurate, quotations are provided in a timely manner, and issues are addressed promptly.
  • Conduct site visits with clients to address their ongoing sales needs.
  • Create and maintain data in systems and software (including Excel and Salesforce) to ensure reliable and accurate statistics for reporting purposes.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and community initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in a sales role, preferably within the building envelope, construction materials, or distributions industry.
  • Ability to read and understand construction specifications, drawings, and technical data is considered an asset.
  • College diploma in business or related industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Proactive problem-solver that can present a variety of options and solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Valid passport required for international travel.
