Job description

We’re hiring an Outside Sales Representative with experience in the construction materials industry. This is a great opportunity to work with a distributor or manufacturer supplying key products used in residential and commercial construction, such as sealants, building envelope solutions, and general construction materials.

You’ll focus on growing business through direct engagement with contractors, builders, developers, and architects across the GTA. If you’re a self-motivated sales professional who thrives in the field and understands the construction space, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
– Prospect and develop new business with contractors, project managers, and industry professionals.
– Promote a range of construction materials including sealants, insulation, building envelope products, fasteners, adhesives, and more.
– Conduct site visits to build relationships and identify project needs.
– Prepare and present tailored proposals and product recommendations.
– Stay up to date on market trends, competitor activity, and product innovations.
– Collaborate with internal teams to support order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
– Track sales activity using Excel and/or CRM tools.
– Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.

Qualifications:
– Minimum 2 years of outside sales experience, preferably with a construction materials distributor or manufacturer.
– Knowledge of building envelope systems, sealants, and general construction practices.
– Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to read and understand blueprints or construction drawings is an asset.
– Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable working independently.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel is essential.
– Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
