Job summary

Eaton's Electrical sector is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join the team. This hybrid role is based in Ottawa, ON and includes a company vehicle for travel to customer sites.

You will drive sales and orders for Eaton products across eastern Ontario, manage relationships with distributors, customers, contractors, and consultants, and provide technical assistance to support growth.

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree or Red Seal Electrician ticket from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years sales or customer facing work experience.
• Must be able to work in Canada without sponsorship now and in the future.
• Must possess a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join the team. This hybrid position is based out of our Ottawa, ON location and offers a company vehicle for travel to customer sites.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $93000 - $117000 a year.

In this role you will be responsible for achieving assigned Sales and Orders objectives for applicable Eaton products and services, focusing on key existing and target accounts within Eastern Ontario. You'll also manage all aspects of the customer relationship, providing sales and technical assistance to distributors, customers, contractors, and consultants, to drive sustainable sales growth.

Essential Functions Include

• Sales – Implement sales plans and growth strategies, to achieve annual performance objectives. Prepare sales proposals and value propositions to satisfy customer needs and expectations. Understand, and be responsive to, market conditions and competitive activities; Communicate such information internally to drive corrective actions and inform Regional & District strategies. Promote Eaton products and services to optimize sales volume, product mix, and profitability.
• Collaboration – Achieve team Orders and Sales goals. Maintain co-operative and credible working relationships with internal personnel, to consistently exceed customer expectations.
• Customer Relationships – Cultivate customer, channel, and internal relationships. Develop bid strategies and quotations for customers using price and delivery guidelines, applying sound business decisions to enhance sales volume and margins.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• College diploma or university degree or Red Seal Electrician ticket from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 3 years sales or customer facing work experience
• Candidates must be able to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
• Must possess a valid and unrestricted driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering Technology, Power Systems Engineering, Business or related field
• 5 years of technical experience in the electrical industry
• P Eng. or CET designation
