We are hiring for our partner, a well-established distributor of mechanical and industrial components.

We’re looking for an Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow a client portfolio in Edmonton and surrounding areas. The focus is on maintaining long-term customer relationships, generating new business, and achieving sales targets within industrial, mechanical, oil & gas, waterworks, and fire protection sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and service new and existing customer accounts
  • Maintain regular field visits and participate in industry events
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and projects
  • Provide product quotes, follow-ups, and after-sales service
  • Resolve client issues in coordination with internal teams (inside sales, credit, logistics)
  • Meet or exceed sales goals and deliver accurate forecasts
  • Monitor client credit status and flag concerns to management
  • Participate in trade shows and support order desk when needed
  • Stay up to date with product knowledge and prepare activity reports

Skills and qualifications :

  • 4+ years’ experience in industrial or mechanical sales
  • College diploma in business, sales, or mechanical disciplines
  • Mechanical aptitude and blueprint reading: a plus
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and web-based tools
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel frequently (daily, some overnights)
