Outside Sales Representative – Atlantic Canada

Telecon’s Enterprise division is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and assess opportunities within the telecommunications industry.
  • Sell new and existing customers on telecommunications products and services, including structured cabling, data networking, devices, and managed services.
  • Specifically target and account manage customers with both a regional and a national footprint.
  • Specifically target and account manage customers from key verticals such as data centres, technology integrators, government, and health care.
  • Make product suggestions according to the wants and needs of customers.
  • Locate prospective customers, generate them into leads, and eventually convert them to customers.
  • Meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Use strong research skills and deep product or industry knowledge to answer any questions about the product.
  • Keep contact lists and follow up with current customers to continue building relationships.
  • Write and submit accurate orders.
  • Design customized, cost‑effective solutions for the client.
  • Leverage the CRM system to develop prospecting and sales strategy that ensures high activity and effective closing ratios.
  • Submit pricing and pre‑qualification requests reflecting the client’s requirements.
  • Liaise with internal team including estimators and operations management.
  • Build, maintain, and leverage relationships with manufacturers and suppliers.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of industry experience.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Dynamics.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative.
  • Current knowledge of industry regulations and trends.
  • Excellent sales acumen and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and administrative skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team development skills.
  • Ability to attend all sales training conferences off‑site.
  • Demonstrated product knowledge and sales abilities.
