Job summary

Brandt is seeking an Outside Parts & Service Representative in Ottawa to promote and sell Material Handling parts and service, while providing after-sales support to customers. This full-time role requires building strong customer relationships, meeting sales targets, and collaborating with Parts & Service teams.

The position involves regular travel within the territory, visiting customers, and maintaining meticulous records to support growth and profitability across our Ontario operations.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years sales experience in a similar role or within Parts/Service.
• Journeyman ticket/Red Seal is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Material Handling parts, operations, and industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to grow sales.
• Assist Parts & Service departments to increase profitability.
• Prospect and call on new accounts; discuss promotions and programs.
• Execute yearly territory plan to maximize sales potential.
• Visit customers in the Area of Responsibility at least monthly.
• Maintain customer records of meetings, quotes, notes, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with management to meet budget goals and expand customer base.

Brandt is currently seeking an Outside Parts & Service Representative for our Ottawa location. This is an outside sales position responsible for promoting and selling Material Handling parts and service, as well as providing after sales support to new and existing customers.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers with the goal of increasing sales and customer satisfaction
• Assist the Parts & Service departments to increase profitability and performance
• Regularly prospect and cold call new accounts to discuss new promotions and programs
• Implement yearly territory plan including a customer target list to maximize sales potential
• Visit customers in Area of Responsibility (AOR); a minimum of 1 visit per month
• Keep customers current on new products and services
• Develop prospective customers with a goal of 2 per month
• Follow-up with customers on unit and machine performance
• Maintain and utilize the database records related to each customer including sales meetings, opportunities, quotes, notes, and any other documentation as required
• Work cooperatively with management to meet and maximize budget goals and expand customer base by presenting and implementing new marketing strategies
• Gather competitive product and pricing information and supply to management
• Participate in all required training and development opportunities
• Follow up on customer concerns and communicate effectively to the appropriate Management Team
• Maintain cleanliness, scheduled maintenance, and inventory for the company vehicle
• Other duties as assigned

What We Look For

• 2 - 3 years previous of sales experience in a similar role, or in a Parts or Service Department
• Journeyman ticket/Red Seal in Parts or Service is considered an asset
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract will be required
