Job description

We are seeking a motivated and experiencedOutside Industrial Sales Representativewith specialized knowledge inpumps and sealsto join our dynamic team. This self-starter will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with clients, and identifying key decision-makers within industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical knowledge of the productsand the ability to work independently to achieve business goals. Experience calling on mining clients would be considered a great asset.

  • Competitive base salary with uncapped commission structure (OTE $130K year 1)

Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development:Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in the industrial sector with a focus on pumps and seals.
  • Account Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Market Analysis:Conduct research to identify prospective clients, industry trends, and competitor activities to strategize sales approaches.
  • Technical Expertise:Leverage in-depth knowledge of pumps, seals, and related industrial equipment to provide tailored solutions and recommendations to clients.
  • Decision-Maker Engagement:Proactively locate and engage with decision-makers, including engineers, procurement professionals, and operations managers.
  • Presentations & Proposals:Deliver professional product presentations, prepare detailed proposals, and negotiate pricing and contracts.
  • Travel:Travel within the designated territory to meet clients, attend trade shows, and conduct on-site product demonstrations.
  • Reporting:Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress using CRM tools.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience selling or repairing industrial pumps and seals
  • Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, industrial sales, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Strong prospecting and lead-generation abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Technical aptitude for understanding and explaining product specifications and applications.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory effectively.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory as well as internationally to attend trade shows and visit suppliers
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
