This self-starter will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with clients, and identifying key decision-makers within industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, excellent technical knowledge, and the ability to work independently to achieve business goals. Experience calling on mining clients would be considered a great asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development: Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in the industrial sector with a focus on pumps and seals.
  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct research to identify prospective clients, industry trends, and competitor activities to strategize sales approaches.
  • Technical Expertise: Leverage in-depth knowledge of pumps, seals, and related industrial equipment to provide tailored solutions and recommendations to clients.
  • Decision-Maker Engagement: Proactively locate and engage with decision-makers, including engineers, procurement professionals, and operations managers.
  • Presentations & Proposals: Deliver professional product presentations, prepare detailed proposals, and negotiate pricing and contracts.
  • Travel: Travel within the designated territory to meet clients, attend trade shows, and conduct on-site product demonstrations.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress using CRM tools.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of outside industrial sales experience, with knowledge or expertise in pumps and seals.
  • Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, industrial sales, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Strong prospecting and lead-generation abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Technical aptitude for understanding and explaining product specifications and applications.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory effectively.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory as well as internationally to attend tradeshows and visit suppliers.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
