Job summary

White Buffalo Treatment Centre Inc in Canada is seeking an Outreach Coordinator to promote services, support youth referrals, and build relationships with First Nations communities and referral agencies. The role coordinates intake, follow-up, and connections to supports for at-risk youth.

Responsibilities include delivering presentations, engaging with communities, coordinating admissions, and assisting with transportation and events.

Qualifications

  • Three years of experience in social work, psychology, education, or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with one year of experience.
  • Strong communication, organization, relationship-building, and report-writing skills.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
  • Ability to travel extensively.
  • First Aid/CPR and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certifications are required.
  • Knowledge of First Nations culture and language is an asset.

  • Deliver presentations, workshops, tours, and educational sessions about WBTC services and substance-use issues.
  • Respond to inquiries and maintain relationships with communities and referral agencies.
  • Coordinate applications, interviews, wait lists, and admission information.
  • Conduct preliminary assessments and identify barriers to participation or safety.
  • Support referrals to WBTC or other programs.
  • Complete client follow-up and assist with aftercare planning.
  • Maintain client records, statistics, and reports.
  • Coordinate with families, referral agents, community workers, schools, Elders, and clinical staff.
  • Assist with transportation, cultural and recreational events, and client-support activities.
  • Travel to communities, including fly-in locations.

Pay: $23.97 - $28.89 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.4:00 p.m.
