Description

We are seeking a contract career coach based in Vancouver to support our Relocation and Outplacement services. This role involves assisting employees who have been made redundant by their organizations with job search strategies to find new employment opportunities.

The coach will work 1:1 with displaced employees using IMPACT Group's technology and coaching methodology. This is a remote, part-time position, approximately 20 to 30 hours per month.

• Establish rapport with participants and motivate them to achieve goals.
• Guide participants through coaching processes and milestones.
• Advise on career development, transition issues, and options.
• Maintain electronic records according to internal guidelines.
• Monitor progress, provide advice to improve job search skills, and address personal issues affecting careers.

Requirements:

• 5-7 years experience coaching job seekers, including resume/CV development, interview prep, career exploration, and LinkedIn profile optimization.
• Experience working with job seekers in Canada.
• Ability to analyze and address transitional needs.
• Strong relationship-building skills.
• Understanding of Canadian business and cultural practices.
• Reside and/or work in Vancouver.
• High-speed internet, headset with microphone, and personal computer.
• Experience coaching professionals across various fields.

Ideal Candidate:

• Master’s degree in human behavior, business, or related field (preferred).
• Cross-cultural experience and strong facilitation skills.
• Coaching certification or training.
• Familiarity with Zoom & MS Teams, with reliable internet and personal equipment.
• Experience with relocation or having relocated internationally is a plus.
