The Interventional Radiology department has one of the largest IR departments in the nation with over 60FTE nurses for the enterprise including IR HALs/TMC. We are consistently innovating with breakthrough procedures including general interventional radiology and vascular procedures, thermal ablation, and neurovascular procedures. We have a unique departmental layout compared to other IR departments, all nurses are trained for IR pre-op and intra-procedure. The IR team provides a family-oriented work environment including our social committees, and we are a Be Well certified department.
The ideal candidate will have interventional radiology, ER, or ICU experience. This position is located in the Woodlands; however, there are trainings that will take place in the Texas Medical Center.
Shift: Monday - Friday from 8:30A - 5:00P; no on-call, and no weekends.
The primary purpose of the Outpatient Clinical Nurse position is to coordinate and implement patient care across the continuum of care. The Outpatient Clinical Nurse is accountable and responsible for providing quality, evidence-based patient care through the appropriate use of resources in collaboration with the inter-professional team. Acts as a patient and family advocate to uphold patient rights. Organizes and prioritizes work of patient care team; trains, coaches, and assists team members to ensure optimum patient care and efficient use of resources.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing. All clinical nurses with less than one year of registered nurse (RN) work experience will be required to participate in the Clinical Nurse Residency Program.
Preferred: Bachelor's Level Degree
Preferred: Two to four years of relevant clinical experience in interventional radiology, intensive care unit, or emergency room.
Required:
Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support(ACLS) certification if working in the following department: ASC Post Anesthesia (600761). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if working in the following departments: ASC Post Anesthesia (600761) or Pedi - Child & Adolescent Center (113200).
Preferred Certification: Certification in Oncology or Specialty practice area
