Job Title: Outdoor General Laborer

This position involves working outdoors performing general labor duties such as cleaning debris, handling lumber, and managing products in an outdoor yard.

Responsibilities

• Clean debris around the yard and bag it
• Pick up and move lumber within the yard
• Handle and transport products in the outdoor yard
• Perform heavy lifting (50-60 lbs) as needed
• Operate outdoor forklifts and manage materials
• Assist with inventory management

Essential Skills

• Experience in general labor
• Ability to lift 50-60 lbs
• Experience working outdoors
• Forklift certification (can be obtained on-site)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2 months of sit-down forklift experience (preferred)
• Yard and lumber yard experience
• Familiarity with power tools

Work Environment

The work environment is busy, dusty, and noisy, with approximately 60 staff members and 18 outdoor forklifts operating continuously. Candidates will work in all weather conditions, with minimal indoor time. Reliable transportation is required as the facility is not transit-accessible. Shift hours are from 9 AM to 5:30 PM, with possible extended hours. Proper outdoor attire, including steel toe boots and a safety vest, is mandatory.

This is a Contract to Hire position based in Balzac, Alberta.

Pay and Benefits

The pay rate is $20.00 per hour.
