Outdoor Cycle Lead

Position Summary

As a Cycle Lead, you are a skilled cyclist who loves to group ride and knows about bike safety and communication. You will give our members great riding experiences by greeting all our riders before the ride, discussing the route and your group's pace, riding safety, and guiding them on a great ride. As a Cycle Lead, you are keeping our members connected to you and your program while continuing to build your cycling community.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Greets all riders when they arrive and when they return from their ride
• Plans the routes ahead of time to ensure preparation
• Creates a welcoming and friendly environment for both regular and new riders
• Collects all waiver forms for new participants
• Introduces and instructs the riders on the route and class objectives
• Establishes a pace that allows all levels of riders to feel part of the group

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5 or more years of experience in cycling
• MTS (Heart Rate) training within 6 months of hire
• CPR and AED certified within 6 months of hire
• Solid presenting and communication skills

Preferred Requirements

• Level 1 Coaching Certification
