YMCA Wanakita in Haliburton, ON is hiring an Outdoor Centre Program Instructor for the 2026–2027 season. This contract role delivers and facilitates recreational and educational programs (cross-country skiing, high ropes, snowshoeing, fire building, broomball) and supports site operations.

The instructor will mentor participants, develop programs, and work closely with the Outdoor Centre Director. In-person on-site training is mandatory December 16–18, 2026, with programs running December 27,

Rate of Pay $170.00 per day

Placement Dates: December 27th, 2026 – March 12th, 2027; In-Person, Paid Mandatory on-site training from December 16th to 18th, 2026

The Outdoor Centre Program Instructor is a contract position responsible for delivering and facilitating recreational and educational programs throughout the season. The instructor is primarily responsible for programming (cross-country skiing, high ropes, initiatives, snowshoeing, fire building, broomball, etc.), providing exceptional customer service, and assisting with site support. The Program Instructor will report directly to the Outdoor Centre Director.
