Sysco Canada in Vancouver is seeking a dependable Warehouse Order Picker to support daily distribution operations. The role involves selecting and staging orders, palletizing finished goods, and maintaining safety and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
The schedule is 06:00 p.m. to 02:30 a.m., with a pay rate of $21.25 per hour. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience and a High school diploma or GED.
This position is responsible for order picking and it can be physically demanding with continual walking, standing, stretching, bending, and lifting. It also requires remembering details of products and customers’ requirements.
Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks, order pickers, and voice-directed picking systems.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
May assist in training new selectors on safe work practices and order selection procedures.
Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
Order Selection: Proven ability to accurately and efficiently select orders with minimal errors.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy when selecting and staging orders.
Safety Awareness: Strong awareness of safety procedures and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
Forklift certification preferred.
Voice-directed picking system training preferred.
High school diploma or GED
2+ years of experience
