Job summary

Thales Canada is seeking a Director for Defence Industrial Cooperation & Offset Programs to lead the strategic direction of offset and industrial participation initiatives in Canada, align with national defence policy, and manage relationships with government and industry partners. The role drives planning, reporting, and high-value bids in a hybrid Ottawa setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Political Science, Law or related field.
• 10-15 years offset and/or procurement/contracts experience in defence industry.
• Advanced written and verbal communications.
• Experience with negotiations.
• Project/program management accreditation (PMP/PRINCE2) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to the offset team.
• Lead high-stakes offset contracts and negotiations.
• Develop and execute long-term offset strategies and ITB/IRB reports.
• Interface with customers, subcontractors, and government representatives.
• Ensure compliance with national and international regulatory requirements.
