Job description

Reporting to the Manager, Digital Media and Content, the Ottawa 67’s Video Producer will create innovative high quality video content for use on various social, web, and digital ad platforms representing the Ottawa 67’s, with additional opportunity to support the Ottawa REDBLACKS on game days. This position is ideal for a storyteller extraordinaire that can plan, conceptualize, arrange, shoot, edit, and distribute in a timely, creative, and polished manner.

The Ottawa 67’s Video Producer role will be a part-time contractor position with Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group, for the 2025-2026 hockey season.

What you’ll do:

  • Create and develop engaging marketing content to promote and market the Ottawa 67’s Hockey Club during training camp, practices, games and community events;
  • Ideate, produce, direct and edit videos and features for social media channels, web, digital ad platforms, special events, projects, and campaigns;
  • Provide video editing and production for internal and external clients;
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and techniques.

What’s needed:

  • 1-3 years of video production experience in a freelance or agency environment;
  • Video shooting experience with professional cameras (Sony FS7, Sony FX3, etc.);
  • Expertise in video production, including writing, shooting, audio recording, and editing in multiple styles and techniques;
  • Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Audition; motion graphics is an added benefit;
  • Strong understanding of trends in the industry and willingness to learn new styles and techniques;
  • Proven storytelling ability using video & audio;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • Ability to work with deadlines, handling multiple tasks at once with great attention to detail;
  • Ability to attend all Ottawa 67’s home games and work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed;
  • Experience shooting sports is an asset;
  • Must own equipment – video camera (FX3/FX30).
