Job summary

Nutrien is seeking an Analyst for NBS OTC Cash Handling in Calgary, Canada. The role focuses on cash application, journal entries, and month-end close with cross-functional collaboration to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualified candidates will have a accounting degree and strong analytical skills, experience with SAP or Oracle, and advanced Excel. The position offers a collaborative culture with opportunities for process improvements and audits support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
• Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Team player with strong communication and integrity
• Experience with SAP or Oracle ERP systems
• Advanced Excel and Power BI/PowerQuery knowledge
• Experience with KPIs and shared service centers advantageous

Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert in cash application and AR account adjustments for complex transactions
• Complete Journal Entries with a focus on accuracy and completeness
• Reconcile bank statements and clearing accounts, resolve discrepancies and meet timelines
• Execute Month-End Close procedures with accurate customer reporting
• Coordinate with IT, sales, credit, and collections teams to resolve account issues
• Perform UAT and regression testing for AR processes and systems
• Assist with audits and maintain SOPs
