Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)

The Cyber Security Advisor ensures project solutions align with the cybersecurity policy, technical roadmap, and customer requirements. Leads and guides cybersecurity activities across projects, ensuring adherence to Hitachi Rail's standards and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain cybersecurity processes throughout the project lifecycle, including planning, requirements, design, risk assessments, testing, and vulnerability management.
  • Apply industry standards and methodologies for cybersecurity assessment and project development.
  • Contribute to and leverage GTS Cyber Security guidelines.
  • Assess bids and incorporate requirements into project design and costs.
  • Provide specialized engineering consultation, conduct risk and vulnerability assessments.
  • Coordinate with GTS for guidance on industry standards and adhere to Hitachi Rail policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, design, and risk assessment.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with senior management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with security standards: ISO 27001/2, NIST SP 800 series, IEC 62443.
  • CISSP certification.
  • Experience with product development, industrial engineering, and control systems.
