A Day in the Life :

An OT and Automation Manager works closely with site automation engineers and accelerated plants to leverage technology to improve, streamline, and automate manufacturing processes. They are responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring such technologies within the plants they support.

What You'll Be Doing :

  • Managing activities related to OT and automation.
  • Executing necessary actions with operating units.
  • Mapping and developing local and regional vendors for implementation support.
  • Defining infrastructure and network architecture, ensuring segregation between IT and OT networks.
  • Integrating and enabling data communication across network layers following cybersecurity protocols.
  • Exploring and implementing new automation methods.
  • Designing and testing automation equipment and processes.
  • Supporting wireless OT network setup and communication protocols.
  • Interacting with process historians for data analysis.
  • Managing communication protocols like Profibus, OPC UA and DA, Profinet, etc.
  • Supporting ICS and Industry 4.0 project updates.
  • Collaborating with industrial and IT teams for scalable, secure solutions.
  • Preparing technical documents, presentations, and reports.
  • Sharing best practices and standards across global teams.

Requirements / Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or 10+ years of automation controls experience.
  • At least 5 years of engineering experience in an industrial setting.
  • Minimum 2 years of project management experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of automation experience.
  • Experience with robotics, AI, and machine learning.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing projects for accelerated sites and working with squads.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel (Advanced), Tableau, Power BI.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
