Telecon seeks an OSP Construction QA/Estimator to prepare project estimates, RFQ/RFT/RFP responses, and to lead field QA inspections across British Columbia. The role balances estimating work with on-site quality assurance, with remote estimating and in-field duties in Kelowna and nearby areas.
Responsibilities include site audits, documentation, vendor coordination, and client relations. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in OSP estimating, strong communications, and proficiency in Microsoft
Reporting to the Operations Manager - BC, this role is responsible for preparing our Outside Plant (OSP) Construction project estimates; Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Tender (RFT), and Request for Proposals (RFP). In addition, this individual will perform or assist in a variety of quality control and inspection work related to Outside Plant Telecommunications construction, ensuring all relevant standards, codes and regulations are met for all stages of the construction process.
The position will also be a liaison in the field for the Design and Infrastructure teams, performing site audits, verification of pathways and engaging in customer and client on-site relations. This position will also be responsible for managing any subcontractors performing work on their assigned sites.
As an OSP Construction QA/Estimator, you will be required to conduct field & site assessments as needed within the Province of British Columbia.
The expected annual salary for this position is in the range of $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
This role provides the opportunity for Remote work during the Estimating portion of the role, but there will also be an In-Field/On Site requirement for when the Quality Assurance (QA) responsibilities are required in the Kelowna area (Salmon Arm, Terrace, Dawson Creek).
The role will initially be focused more on Estimating and then a greater focus on Quality Assurance in the field once the build is underway.
