Job Description

Hitachi Rail STS USA, Inc. seeks an OS&M Quality Manager in Pittsburgh, PA, and unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. This position is for a roving employee who will work across various locations in the U.S., requiring relocation but not specific travel from any one location.

Accountabilities
  1. Develop and adapt an Operation and Management Plan in line with the HART Core Systems Contract, adjusting for project issues and future contingencies.
  2. Implement a Quality Management Plan aligned with project procedures and controls for the Quality Assurance Department.
  3. Collaborate with the Budget and Finance Group to meet the QA Group's needs, adhering to the Project Financial Plan.
  4. Create a Configuration Management Plan for the OS&M Group, ensuring compliance through customized software and automated reporting.
  5. Use complex testing equipment to conduct investigations, audits, and tests for adherence to Quality Assurance standards, verifying test procedures for competency.
  6. Maintain interdepartmental compliance by regularly updating project groups on QA goals, policies, and procedures.
  7. Ensure all QA and Configuration Management protocols comply with contractual, statutory, and industry regulations.
Required Skills/Knowledge
  • At least four years of quality assurance experience within the railway industry.
  • Experience with Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Proficiency in utilizing complex testing equipment for investigations, audits, and tests.
  • Experience monitoring NCRs.
  • Experience developing and implementing a Quality Management Plan.
  • Experience with supplier quality management.
  • Data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Configuration management experience.
  • QMS audit proficiency.
Education/Qualifications

Minimum of eight years in a quality assurance supervisory or management role.
