Job summary

A regional health authority in Manitoba is seeking an experienced Orthotic Technician. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience and a recognized educational background in prosthetics/orthotics, along with English communication skills. This full-time position requires in-person work, and successful applicants must provide current criminal checks and certifications.

Work Arrangement: In Person

Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience as incorporated into CBCPO Registration in Orthotics.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Complete Grade 11 education (Manitoba standards).
  • Completion of a recognized prosthetics/orthotics educational program is required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Must have achieved and maintained "good standing" status as a Registered Orthotic Technician with The Canadian Board for Certification of Prosthetists and Orthotists (CBCPO).
Qualifications and Skills
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
  • Good mechanical aptitude required.
