Job summary

Say Cheese Orthodontics, part of Passion Dental Group in Calgary, is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join a dedicated practice. You will support an orthodontist, prepare rooms and instruments, and assist with braces and impressions while educating patients on orthodontic care.

The role offers a full-time maternity leave position with potential for permanent employment, ongoing learning, and a collaborative team environment dedicated to excellent treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Registered Dental Assistant experience.
• 1+ year of orthodontic assisting experience is an asset.
• Completion of an Ortho Module.
• Experience with Dolphin dental software is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with clinical procedures and patient care.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment.
• Support orthodontic procedures, including braces adjustments, wire changes, and other treatments within your scope of practice.
• Take dental impressions or digital scans and diagnostic records as required.
• Provide patients with instructions on orthodontic appliances, oral hygiene, and care following appointments.
• Maintain infection prevention and control standards.
• Help ensure appointments run smoothly and efficiently.
• Create a welcoming, positive experience for patients of all ages.
• Work closely with the orthodontist and clinical team to support excellent treatment outcomes.
