Organizational Design and Classification Consultant

Join Protak Consulting Group Inc. as an Organizational Design and Classification Consultant. This is a contract opportunity based in Ottawa for a federal government project.

Scope of Work

  • Perform organizational design assessments and modeling
  • Evaluate job descriptions against classification standards
  • Discuss proposed ratings with the manager
  • Conduct relativity and validation studies
  • Ensure compliance with TBS Classification Policy
  • Chair or participate in classification committees or grievances
  • Update or write job descriptions to meet standards
  • Identify sub-groups and prepare classification rationales
  • Provide coaching or mentoring to trainees, if applicable
  • Ensure adherence to classification policies and industry best practices
  • Prepare comprehensive classification documents and reports

Requirements

  • References must be provided with the resume
  • Active Security Clearance (Reliability Status minimum)

Qualifications

  • Recent experience in classification or organization design for the Federal Public Service
  • Strong ability to analyze organizations and draft work descriptions
  • Classification Accreditation by Treasury Board is an asset
  • Bilingualism is an asset

Additional Details

  • Effort: 3 days/week
  • Duration: Nov 2023 – Mar 2024, with possible extension up to 3 years
  • Location: Remote work with access to government facilities as needed
