Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a warehouse associate in Delta, BC region to maintain high-performance standards. The role involves material handling, order selection, and other warehouse tasks, with a night shift (8:00 PM - 4:00 AM) and a starting rate of $27.22/hour, moving toward $36.86/hour after 24 months, plus incentives ranging from $1 to $18/hour and several pay differentials.

• Ability to work independently and with a team.

• Operation of pallet jack in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Manually lifting food service products (10–70lbs) onto pallets and preparing pallets for shipping to customer locations.
• Accurately scanning and selecting products using a computerized inventory system.
• Safe operation of power equipment including electric pallet jacks.
• Work in temperature zones including freezer (-20°C), cooler, and dry goods areas.
• Exposure to and handling of seafood, meats, dairy, produce, spices, beverages and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety rules and Food Safety programs.
• All other duties as required.

Position Overview

This position includes maintaining high-performance standards and will be primarily responsible for material handling, order selection, and other warehouse functions as needed.

_ Schedule: 5 X 8 | Floater | 8:00 PM - 4:00 AM _

• _ Starting rate of $27.22, with potential to go to a top rate of $36.86 per hour after completing 24 months _

• _ O __ pportunity to earn $1 to $18 per hour in incentive _

• NightDifferential - $1.25

• CoolerDifferential - $0.50

• Freezer Differential - $1.25

Responsibilities Include:

• Manually lifting food service products (from 10-70lbs) onto pallets, and prepare pallets for shipping to a customer location

• Accurately scanning and selecting products using a computerized inventory system.

• Safe operation of power equipment including electric pallet jacks.

• Working in a variety of temperature zones including a freezer (-20 degrees Celsius), cooler and dry goods areas. All warehouse employees must be prepared to work in all warehouse temperature zones

• Exposure to and handling of all types of food products including seafood, meats, dairy, produce, spices, beverages and equipment

• Ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety rules and regulations and Food Safety programs

• All other duties as required
