Order Picker / Forklift Operator

One of our well-established clients on the Ajax/Pickering border is looking for an experienced Order Picker/Forklift Operator.

This opportunity will be for the individual who enjoys working in a small team environment, has over 3 years experience order picking and wants to become part of the team.

It is a straight day shift 8AM-4:30PM Monday to Friday and the rate of pay is $20.00 per hour to start.

This position is 80% order picking and 20% forklift.

What will you be doing?

1. Operating the Reach and counterbalance Forklifts
2. Unloading and Loading products
3. Creating waybills, calling freight companies for pick-ups
4. Picking and packing orders
5. Storing, moving and handling numerous types of products
6. Assisting with Shipping and Receiving goods
7. Working in a team as well as independently
8. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate has:

1. 3+ years of experience and a positive attitude towards others and towards work
2. A valid forklift license and be able to provide it
3. Some lifting of up to 40 - 45 lbs involved
4. Extremely reliable and willing to work hard

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has:

1. 3+ years experience with external certification OR 3+ years with internal certification
2. A valid forklift license and be able to provide it
3. Lifting of up to 40 - 45 lbs involved
4. Extremely reliable and willing to work hard
5. Looking for F/T work Monday to Friday
