Job description

Giant Tiger Wholesale is looking to hire a permanent Order Picker for our brand-new, fully automated 660,000 square foot distribution centre in Johnstown, ON! GTW offers paid material handling equipment training, full medical/dental benefits, a store discount, and 24/7 onsite gym access.

• Starting wage of $19.43/hour
• Additional $2/hour for hours worked 9:00pm - 6:00am
• Milestone wage increases at 1040 hours, 2080 hours, 4160 hours, and annually thereafter

Responsibilities:

• Pick orders to supply over 260 Giant Tiger stores across Canada
• Stack various-sized boxes onto skids, ensuring safety and accuracy
• Lift boxes weighing 1-50 pounds, following safety guidelines
• Operate electric double pallet trucks safely and efficiently
• Match picked skids with outbound license plate numbers
• Ensure order accuracy and timely shipment readiness
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Support other departments as directed

Candidate Requirements:

• Promote safety and comply with OSHA and WHMIS standards
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift heavy objects throughout shift
• Comfortable in a noisy, fast-paced environment
• Punctual, adaptable, detail-oriented
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
• High school diploma required

Candidate Assets:

• Experience with Voice Picking or Manhattan WMS
• Experience driving electric double pallet trucks
• Warehouse experience
• Class G2 or higher driver’s license

Schedule:

Friday - Monday, 6:30am - 5:00pm
