Summary (Major Purpose of the Role):

The Order Picker is responsible for getting the right product to the right customer on time and damage free by pulling customer orders to the delivery platform in a way that meets Company standards for safety, security, and output. You are also responsible for the completeness and accuracy of all orders filled.

The primary product lines you’ll oversee are durable medical goods ranging from canes to wheelchairs, in-home hospital beds and respiratory products. These products are critical to the lives of our customers and you’ll be a part of leading this team in driving best-in-class metrics in Safety, Quality, Service, and of course, our People.

Main Activities/Responsibilities:

• Pull orders according to the RF scanner and recheck them to ensure accuracy

• Address any misprints, false quantities, and closed carton orders

• Inspect items for quality and quantity and any evidence of dust, paint, or dents

• Ensure that any product not up to the quality standards are reported to the floor supervisor

• Properly palletize picked items from storage area

• Wrap or box items according to instructions provided and ensure effective wrapping for remaining product in the bin

• Pull off any old or not needed stickers from boxes and make sure that they are discarded properly

• Develop an attitude of support and participate in an environment of continuous improvement

• Ensure the compliance of safety norms to include maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area

• Other duties may be assigned

Reporting Relationships and Supervision:

• This position reports to the Distribution Supervisor.

Education and Experience:

Required:

• H. S. Diploma or equivalent

• Basic math skills

• Basic computer skills, e.g. PC, MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel), RF scanners

• Able to use material movement equipment (e.g. cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.)

• SAP or Warehouse Management System experience

Your Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Physical activity includes walking, standing, bending, squatting, reaching above shoulders and lifting up to 50 lbs.

• Performs activities in a warehouse environment. May be subject to changes in temperature and exposure to dust.
