Order Picker Job At The Home Depot in New Minas, NS B4N 0C9

Req134105 Part Time Retail Store Onsite

As an Order Picker, you will help continue to grow our online business and customer relationships by taking online customer orders and picking the product ready for customer pick-up or delivery in a timely manner.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Pick, organize and verify orders for delivery or pick-up.
2. Utilize appropriate lift truck equipment to prepare customer orders (training provided).
3. Work in a team environment to support customers at our service desk – includes general customer questions, taking customer calls, operating the cash register and doing product returns for customers.
4. Utilize computer terminals and/or Home Depot portable phone to check inventory, look-up orders and notify customers when product is ready for pick-up.
5. Plan ahead for future deliveries and streamline process.

Experience/Knowledge Required:

1. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
2. Computer skills required in order to identify product and vendor information.
3. Previous forklift and/or lift truck experience is an asset but not required.
4. Time management and organizational skills required.
5. Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to read delivery invoices is an asset.
7. Knowledge of/hands-on experience with store products is an asset.
8. Candidates should be comfortable lifting merchandise to organize for customer pick up.
