Silent-Aire Limited Partnership is a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls. Silent-Aire is a technology driven company that designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions. JOIN A GROWING INDUSTRY! In the Edmonton region we have manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Sherwood Park and Nisku.

This role is based out of Nisku, candidates must have a reliable transportation, or, preferably, own vehicle.

This role will offered to work the following shifts:

  • Rotating Day Shift (6AM- 6PM)
  • Mon-Thu Night shift (6 PM - 5:30 AM).

The Picker shall be responsible for a variety of duties, including: picking and placing materials orders, staging materials, entering data into spreadsheets for record keeping, and loading, unloading and moving products and materials to the designated locations in the warehouse and plant. The Picker is also accountable for checking received orders and confirming that all inventory transactions are completed and documented.

Overview
  • Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or equipment.
  • Sort and package fabricated parts onto a cart according to the subassembly list and deliver to point of use in the plant (manually or with equipment).
  • Check to ensure subassembly counts are correct and meet a visual quality inspection and report any discrepancies to the fabrication area.
  • May perform other activities such as assisting in taking inventory and weighing/checking materials.
  • Pick orders and prepare for shipping, including: stacking, wrapping, and crating products.
  • Pick material from warehouse for outbound orders, and ensure they are high quality materials being shipped.
  • Put away received materials to proper storage locations.
  • Confirm inventory transactions are complete.
  • Participate in clean-up of yard and facility.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations and Code.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment including forklift truck.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
  • Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing: Good spoken English and ability to communicate well and understand teammates and supervisors is a must for performance and safety.
  • Time management skills.
Working Conditions
  • Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.
  • Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).
  • Employee may be exposed to uncomfortable work settings such as cold or hot weather outdoors; may have combinations of standing, crouching, or sitting throughout the day.
  • Must be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 40 pounds.
  • Fast-paced environment.
  • Overtime as required.
