Job summary

Neighborhood Healthcare seeks an experienced Oral Surgeon/Exodontist to provide outpatient oral surgery services, including complex extractions, biopsies, and follow-up care. The role includes hospital‑level coordination, supervision of dental staff, and patient education to support high‑quality outcomes.

Requirements include a DMD/DDS, post‑doctoral residency for oral surgeons, CA dental and DEA licenses, and BLS certification. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) or Dental Surgery (DDS) from an accredited school – required
• Post-doctoral US Oral Surgery Residency Program – required for oral surgeons
• Proven experience as an Oral Surgeon or Exodontist – prefer 2+ years
• Valid CA Dental License – required
• Valid DEA license required
• Current BLS certification per AHA standards

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care including diagnosing and planning oral surgery treatments
• Perform complex tooth extractions and biopsy or cyst removal as needed
• Provide anesthesia services and follow-up care
• Lead dental assistants and hygienists to ensure smooth patient care
• Maintain patient records and ensure compliant billing
• Participate in team meetings and quality improvement activities
