Oracle GDI – Government, Defense and Intelligence has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development role focused on the Canadian Government. This high impact role is ideal for a customer focused sales professional who thrives in a fast paced, goal driven environment.

This is a remote position for a candidate based in Canada, with a preference in the Ottawa/Outouais Region

Responsibilities

What You Will Do (Responsibilities):

  • Prospect, educate, qualify, and develop existing accounts and inbound leads to create sales-ready meetings and opportunities.
  • This includes target market penetration, calling all levels of decision makers, following up on marketing generated leads, webinar and event follow-up, creative campaign and door opener outreach, and more.
  • Interact with prospects via telephone, video correspondence, and email
  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and develop accounts to stimulate opportunity
  • Effectively handle and overcome prospect objections with confidence
  • Become a trusted resource and develop productive relationships with prospects
  • Update lead scoring and prospect interaction in CRM to ensure efficient lead management
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual pipeline generating targets to ensure territory revenue objectives and pipeline linearity
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet our core values and culture


What You Will Bring (Requirements):

  • 3-5 years of experience in technology sales preferably with experience in cloud-based/SaaS solutions with a proven track record of success.
  • Proven experience selling into Canadian Federal Government
  • Demonstrated understanding of Canadian Government procurement contracts and processes
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage and grow customer accounts.
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex sales processes.
  • Knowledge of Oracle's products, including Oracle Cloud and Technology Solutions is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to accurately forecast sales and manage multiple accounts.
  • A self-motivated and results-driven approach with a commitment to achieving sales targets.
  • Bilingual in both English and French

CA: Hiring Range in CAD from: $51,200 - $95,000 per year.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
