Oracle Fusion QA Tester / Specialist — Toronto
Role Description
- Specialized Fusion Testing: Test end-to-end business processes within and across Oracle Fusion modules (e.g., Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, Hire-to-Retire).
- Validate reports and analytics built using Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI).
- Test inbound and outbound integrations with other systems (e.g., EDI, SOAP/REST APIs, PLSQL).
- Test Planning Strategy: Analyze business requirements, functional design documents, and user stories to understand testing scope. Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Define test data requirements and work with the team to have it prepared. Estimate testing effort and contribute to project timelines.
- Test Execution & Defect Management: Execute test cases manually (and automate where possible) for various types of testing (Functional, Integration, Regression, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support). Identify, record, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, ALM, or OTBI. Work with developers and functional consultants to isolate, replicate, and resolve defects. Perform regression testing to ensure new configurations, patches, or integrations do not adversely affect existing functionality.
- Process Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Business, Functional, Technical) to ensure quality throughout the SDLC. Support business users during UAT, helping them understand test cases and log issues. Create and maintain test documentation for knowledge sharing and audit purposes. Provide clear and concise test summary reports and status updates to stakeholders.
Essential Skills
- More than 5 years of proven experience as a QA Tester, with a significant focus on Oracle Fusion Applications. Hands-on experience testing at least two of the following Oracle Fusion modules - 1. Financials (FSCM) GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management; 2. HCM Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Management, Compensation; 3. SCM Procurement Inventory Management, Order Management, Procurement, Sourcing
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and plans. Solid knowledge of SQL for data validation and querying. Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM Quality Center, Zephyr).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
