Job summary

You will ensure reliability, performance, and security across mission-critical systems. Ideal candidates bring 4–7+ years in Oracle DBA roles with AWS data services, plus AWS and Oracle certifications. Strong tuning, monitoring, and cost-management skills are valued.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years as a Oracle DBA with 3+ years on AWS data services.
• Hands-on with Amazon RDS (Oracle/PostgreSQL/MSSQL) and Amazon Redshift administration.
• At least one Oracle (OCP) and one AWS certification; familiarity with CDK, CloudFormation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability, performance, and security of Oracle databases.
• Manage AWS RDS instances/clusters (Oracle/PostgreSQL/MSSQL) and Redshift.
• Implement infrastructure as code focusing on AWS CDK and CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor and tune SQL and database performance; backups, patching, and upgrades.
• Configure monitoring via CloudWatch and Performance Insights; set alerts.
• Design high availability with Multi-AZ and cross-region snapshots as needed.

Role Descriptions

We are looking for an experienced Oracle DBA to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of mission-critical Oracle databases, along with an AWS-focused DBA to manage and optimize Amazon RDS (Oracle/PostgreSQL/MSSQL) and Amazon Redshift clusters, with a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK.

Job Description

• Strong hands-on with Oracle 19c, RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, ASM, OEM.
• Expert-level performance tuning (SQL & instance), AWR/ASH analysis, wait events.
• Provision and manage RDS instances/clusters (instance classes, storage autoscaling, Multi-AZ, parameter/subnet groups).
• Govern backup/restore (automated backups, snapshots), encryption (KMS), patching, and minor/major version upgrades.
• Implement monitoring/alerting via CloudWatch, Performance Insights, Enhanced Monitoring; tune connections/queries.
• Cost management: right-sizing, storage management, Reserved/Compute Savings Plans advisory.
• Design and operate Redshift clusters; configure WLM, concurrency scaling, queue management.
• Optimize schema (distribution/sort keys), VACUUM/ANALYZE, query tuning; workload isolation.
• Build CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline/GitHub Actions) to deploy CDK apps; manage environments (dev/qa/uat/prod).
• Implement high availability (Multi-AZ for RDS, cross-region snapshots as needed).

Qualifications (Required)

• 4–7+ years as a Oracle DBA with 3+ years on AWS data services.
• Hands-on with Amazon RDS (Oracle/PostgreSQL/MSSQL) and Amazon Redshift administration.
• Expertise in monitoring (CloudWatch, Performance Insights), performance tuning, and cost optimization.
• At least one certification in Oracle (OCP) and one in AWS.
• Proficiency with AWS CDK (TypeScript or Python), CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines.
