Role Overview

This role is for a Senior Database Administrator responsible for managing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise Oracle and SQL Server databases across both on-premises and cloud environments. The successful candidate will design, configure, migrate, secure, and maintain database infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and disaster recovery. The role also involves leading Oracle database migration initiatives, providing technical expertise during solution design, troubleshooting complex database issues, and supporting mission‑critical production systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle 12c/19c, SQL Server, PL/SQL, ETL development, RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and database performance tuning, along with hands‑on experience with installation, upgrades, backup and recovery, capacity planning, and cloud platforms such as Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The position also includes supporting Siebel applications, developing ETL processes, implementing database security controls, and ensuring compliance with enterprise security, privacy, and information management standards.

In addition to strong technical expertise, the role requires excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with the ability to lead complex migration projects, document technical solutions, assess and mitigate technical risks, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high‑performing database solutions.

Must Have:

• 10+ years of proven experience in database administration, including database design, implementation, maintenance and support
• 5+ years of experience in PL/SQL, creating data ETL procedures (very strong) and packages, and query optimization techniques
• Hands‑on experience with DBMS operations such as installation, configuration, migration, and upgrades
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning
• Experience with one Oracle and SQL Server
• Experience working with On‑Prem and Cloud Technologies such as Azure and OCI Platforms.
• Experience with RAC, Golden Gate, Data Guard Technologies.
• Experience with information retrieval tools and query languages such as TOAD, OEM and DB Artisan

Role and responsibilities.

• Creates and implements physical database designs and operates and administers the database management system (DBMS) including database optimization, capacity planning, installation and migration, database design, performance tuning, backup and recovery.
• Database optimization, capacity planning, installation and migration, database design, performance tuning, backup and recovery.
• Maintain and monitor a number of Oracle 12c and above databases in large multi‑tenant environments including database administration, maintenance, optimization, migration, and fine tuning of databases
• Design, build and configure Oracle Database Servers on Windows, Solaris, Linux
• Ensure existing databases meet performance requirements including but not limited to SIEBEL, ARCGIS, APEX databases on Oracle
• Ensure that all deployed databases are secure and that appropriate security and auditing controls are in place to meet security and privacy requirements
• Provide database administration technical expertise during design and architecture phases of new solutions
• Lead and design solutions for enterprise Oracle migration project to migrate to 19c
• Plan, manage and coordinate implementation of technically advanced complex systems and assist in Data refreshes to lower non‑production environment
• Provide regular support to resolve complex and unique database management issues
• Provide expert support and guidance to production database systems and clients by overseeing the deployment and evaluation of complex Oracle databases
• Provide support and maintenance of databases in GoCloud and on premise‑based environments
• Carry out complex/specialized systems analysis and design for success of Oracle migration
• Implement and Configure TDE, Dataguard, RAC, OMS, OEM 13c and Oracle Golden Gate
• Provide assistance with replicated database management and migration
• Documentation of your technical work such that knowledge can be transferred to you colleagues
• Identifies, analyses, prioritizes and communicates technical risks for decision makers
• Provides recommendations and mitigation strategies based on a detailed evaluation of technical risks and issues
• Communicates effectively to identify needs and evaluate solutions to complex business and technical issues
• Work with Siebel Application developers collaboratively and deploy SIEBEL solution patches and upgrades.
• Develop, Maintain and Support ETL process to facilitate transfer of data from SIEBEL database to other staging databases for consumption.
