Job summary

University Health Network seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Operating Room team at Toronto Western Hospital. You will provide compassionate, collaborative care within the UHN model and meet professional standards throughout your shift schedule.

The role supports neurosurgery, spine, orthopedic and related surgeries, with days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. This temporary full-time contract offers opportunities for education and advancement.

Qualifications

• Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification required.
• Flexible and able to work effectively within an interdisciplinary patient care team.
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and decision making skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, collaborative and competent care per the UHN model.
• Ensure practice aligns with professional standards and ethical framework.
• Engage in continuing education to meet patient needs and profession standards.
• Reflective practice to improve nursing and patient care.
