Job summary

Xcimer Energy, based at our Denver, CO headquarters, is seeking an Optical Operations Technician to apply optical assembly and alignment to deliver fusion energy. You will work with teams to assemble vacuum assemblies, operate pumps, and ensure SOPs and safety standards are followed.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of laser work or 3-5 years laser alignment, cleanroom experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Assoc or Bachelors with 1-3 years high-power/ high-intensity laser work or 3-5 years laser alignment experience.
• Experience with opto-mechanical assembly and laser alignment.
• Must be capable of handling fragile optics and moving precisely.
• Experience working in a cleanroom and adhering to strict safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to analyze plan and coordinate work activities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Excellent time management, organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

• Ensure that documented Work Instructions & SOPs are followed and meet all quality requirements.
• Adhere to cleanroom protocols and safety standards.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of lean manufacturing and 5S activities.
• Participate in Stand-up meetings and communicate any issues or blockers.
• Participates in laser safety audits and related activities.
• Embrace growth in their understanding of the daily operations and scientific foundations of the lasers systems and optical processes at Xcimer.

This is a full-time, onsite role based at our headquarters in Denver, CO.

As an Optical Operations Technician, you will apply your skills in optical assembly and alignment to deliver fusion energy. We are looking for our technicians to apply their technical expertise, problem solving skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact the future of energy!

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

$78,200 - $92,000 a year

Candidates may be considered for other positions at Xcimer Energy, and our actual base salary will be determined on an individual basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. The range is published in accordance with Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and California Equal Pay Act.
