Position: Optical Network Mgmt Support Student

Number of Position(s): 2

Duration: 4 Months

Date: September – December 2024

Location: Hybrid (3 Days in Office)

The team you will be a part of

The Network Infrastructure Optics NMS Technical Support team provides front-line support for NOKIA's Fiber Transmission Network Management platform, serving telecom carriers and MSO high-speed transport infrastructure.

You will work directly with customers and also perform investigative work behind the scenes using NOKIA's labs and available operational and functional knowledge base.

Education Recommendations

Currently a candidate for a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited school in Canada.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Server Hardware, HP Unix, and Red Hat Linux
• Knowledge of Virtual Machines
• Good communication skills and a desire to learn

It would be nice if you also had:

• General knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash/Shell, etc.
• General knowledge of Optical and IP networking
• Ability to test, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical issues

Responsibilities
