Job summary

Canadian Tire Corporation is seeking a Programmer Analyst to develop and support applications in the Operations Planning Centre (OPC). You will work with IT, business stakeholders, and the Decision Support team to enable day-to-day decision making and optimize product flow.

The role emphasizes technical prowess, knowledge of OPC business processes, and the ability to deliver cost-reducing solutions across CTR systems. A strong background in databases, reporting, and data platforms is key.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in computer science, engineering, or related tech/logistics field.
• Knowledge of supply chain processes and retail principles.
• 3 to 7 years of full lifecycle application development and DB design.
• Experience with AI-enabled tech and automation is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize amid changing objectives and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and maintain applications aligned to standards.
• Provide 24/7 paging rotation for support and ensure smooth operation of apps.
• Create ad-hoc reports and data extracts to support decision making.
• Document business/technical needs and translate into requirements.
• Recommend alternatives with clear pros/cons.
• Stay current with coding languages and data tools.
• Collaborate across teams to integrate CTR systems within CT banners.
