Job summary

Evolution Mining is seeking an Operator Sanitation at Red Lake, Ontario, to complete required training and demonstrate safe, competent performance to progress toward Miner 1 at Red Lake Operation.

The role offers a 7/7, 12-hour day roster and requires residential in Red Lake with no FIFO. We offer a competitive salary, a defined growth path, and benefits under a safety-first culture at Evolution Mining.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Graduation Diploma and completion of Common Core training modules.
• Co-op experience is an asset but not required.
• Willing to work in underground environments with safety focus.

Responsibilities

About the role

The Operator Sanitation is a new role, which will be responsible for successfully completing all required training, and acquiring and demonstrating your capability to competently perform all required tasks in a safe manner in order to advance to Miner 1 at Red Lake Operation.

The position will be on a 7/7 (12- hour day) roster and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario. with no access to camp or FIFO

We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $114,589 to $155,032 CAD.

Key result areas in this role include:

• Perform duties with skills acquired as Miner 3, 4, 5 and 6.
• Train and successfully demonstrate ability to operate and obtain required licensing (i.e. sanitation).
• Perform tasks as directed under the direction of supervisor.
• Consistently work in a safe and conscientious manner.
• Comply with all safety procedures.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment.
• Observe experienced workers to gain and increase knowledge of methods, procedures, and performance standards.
• Report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
• Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-free.
• Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
• Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures.

About you

As an Operator Sanitation, you will possess a Secondary School Graduation Diploma and have successfully completed all relevant Common Core training modules. Prior co-op work experience is an asset, but not required. It is also important that you have/ can demonstrate:

• Good physical fitness with the ability to work in an underground environment
• Competent communication abilities
• Flexible, and willing to work on a rotational shiftwork basis
• Hard working and conscientious
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work and interact with others
• Willing and able to follow instructions
• Self motivated
