Convergint is seeking Building Operators with a 4th Class Power Engineering certificate to join their team at the Suncor Firebag In-Situ site.

This FIFO 14/14 role includes camp accommodations and a comprehensive benefits plan, with RRSP employer contributions and holidays. Candidates should have 5+ years' building operator experience, strong safety focus, and the ability to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• 4th Class Power Engineering certificate from a Canadian institution.
• Registered as a 4th Class Power Engineer with ABSA.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial/industrial Building Operator experience.
• Experience isolating/de-isolating mechanical piping components for heating, cooling, and utility systems.

Responsibilities

Building Operators - Suncor Firebag In-Situ - 14/14 - FIFO + Camp - $100,000/year - Multiple Canadian Hubs

Convergint is seeking Building Operators with a 4th Class Power Engineering certificate to join their team at the Suncor Firebag In-Situ site. This is a FIFO role on a 14/14 rotation with camp accommodations provided. The ideal candidates are experienced in building operations, committed to safety, and eager to work in a supportive, inclusive environment. Candidates will be responsible for daily building walkthroughs, minor maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

What You’ll Need

• Completion of 4th Class Power Engineering certificate from an accredited Canadian Institution
• Registered as a 4th Class Power Engineer with ABSA
• Minimum 5 years of commercial and/or industrial Building Operator experience
• Experience isolating/de-isolating mechanical piping components for heating, cooling, and utility systems
• Experience operating building systems, including heating plants
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and understand building floor plans and design drawings
• Strong understanding of OHS regulations and procedures
• Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
• Completion of OSSA Basic Safety Orientation or Common Safety Orientation required
