Job summary

North American Construction Group in Fort McMurray, Alberta, seeks Heavy Equipment Finish Operators to operate large dozers (D9-D11) on a 14/14 rotation at the Kearl site. Camp accommodations and paid flights are provided, with a night shift premium and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Finish Dozer Operator on civil projects.
• Experience operating D3 to D8 sized Dozer or larger.
• Experience with muskeg/soft & wet ground
• Experience building roads/corridors, backfilling pipe/trenches, sloping/spotting trucks.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and recent acceptable Driver’s Abstract
• Valid CSO Certification
• Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness or Energy Safety Canada Wildlife Awareness (Kearl only)
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing: breath alcohol, urine drug, fitness-to-work, audiometric, vision, and criminal record check
• Proficient in English (verbal and written)
• High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education is an asset
• Strong safety attitude and ability to follow instructions

Responsibilities

North American Construction Group is seeking Heavy Equipment Finish Operators to join their team at the Kearl mining site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. Operators will work with large dozers (D9-D11) on a 14/14 rotation, with camp accommodations and paid flights provided.
