Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-shift safety inspections and maintain machinery.
  • Monitor machine performance and assist with repairs.
  • Load materials into correct bins and monitor stockpile inventory.

Job description

Job Title: Operator/Maintenance

The Levy Group of Companies is seeking an Operator/Maintenance to work at our Hartland Sand & Gravel location in Hartland, MI. The Operator/Maintenance operates mobile equipment completing various functions such as gathering materials, loading trucks, feeding hopper and bins with materials, and stockpiling materials around the plant area.

Pay and Schedule
  • Starting at $23.71
  • Day Shift, 6:30 AM start, must be available on weekends

Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-shift safety inspections
  • Maintain machinery (greasing, oiling, fueling, inspecting brakes, tires, seals, bearings)
  • Keep work area level and accessible
  • Move earth and materials to create pits
  • Monitor machine performance for malfunctions
  • Assist with repairs
  • Load materials into correct bins, monitor stock levels
  • Load trucks with correct materials, avoid contamination, adhere to weight limits
  • Load feeder hopper with raw materials
  • Monitor stockpile inventory
  • Work safely within MSHA regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
