Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:Industrial Cleaning Operators are responsible for removing industrial waste from customer’s facilities using equipment such as vacuum trucks and high-pressure water equipment. When Industrial Cleaning Operators are not working on a customer’s site or responding to emergency spills, they are working at our facility loading and off-loading trucks and assisting with waste bulking, receiving, and transferring.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operates light and heavy equipment relating to clean-up, including tanker, roll-off, liquid and turbo vacuums, box trucks, and sewer cleaners.

  • Responds to customer spills and emergencies.

  • Performs pre-trip and post-trip Department of Transportation inspections.

  • Maintains vehicle logs.

  • Performs general housekeeping, including maintenance of equipment and site.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to use heavy and light equipment, such as tanker, vacuum truck, forklift and pallet-jack.

  • Skilled using hand and shop tools, and instruments.

  • Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.

  • Must be able to prioritize, stay focused and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities.

  • A valid driver’s license may be required for some positions.
