Why You?

We seek a dynamic team member for our Roads Team and Operations Department. You should have experience operating various equipment such as loaders, tractors, trucks, and other motorized equipment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performing maintenance, construction, and repair work on roads, stormsewers, catch basins, ditches, sidewalks, and storm facilities under supervision.
• Maintaining snowplow routes and adjusting to weather conditions.
• Responding to emergencies like floods, storms, and snow/ice events.
• Assisting with equipment maintenance, yard, and building upkeep to ensure safety.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate has:

• A secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience in roads operation or construction.
• Ontario Ministry of Transportation Book 7 training and propane certification are assets.
• Experience with heavy equipment such as dump trucks, loaders, backhoes, street sweepers, and tractors.
• A valid Class “DZ” driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and a clean driver’s abstract; “AZ” license is an asset.
• Availability for various shifts, including days, afternoons, and evenings.
