Essential Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
• Maintain Ontario Provincial Highways year-round, including assisting with labourer duties such as pothole repair, guardrail repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.
• Work outside in all weather conditions

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks
• Must possess a valid AZ driver’s license with air endorsement
• Must provide a copy of a 3-year driver’s abstract
• Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset

Work Conditions

• Preference for local applicants due to work location
• Accommodations provided for out-of-town applicants
• Shift work, on-call, and night shifts may be required due to weather conditions
• Work schedules: either 5 consecutive days followed by 2 days off or 6 consecutive days followed by 1 day off, with daily shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours
• This is a CLAC union position
