  • Prophet River
  • Muncho Lake
  • Liard River
  • Fireside
  • Iron Creek

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required.
  2. Maintain Alaska Highways year-round, including assisting with labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.).
  3. Work outside in all weather conditions.

Qualifications:

  1. Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
  2. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  3. Valid Class 1 or 3 driver's license with air endorsement.
  4. Clear 3-year drivers abstract.
  5. Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset.

Work Conditions:

  1. Shift work, on-call, and night shifts may be required due to weather conditions.
  2. Benefits and RSPs provided by CLAC.
  3. Camp provided in remote locations.
  4. Preference given to local applicants.

Compensation:

  1. Base rate of $28.99 to $35.55/hr, depending on experience and location.

Remote site positions may be eligible for additional incentives, including travel and accommodation allowances.
