Essential Responsibilities:
  • Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
  • Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways year-round, including assisting with labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)
  • Work outside in all weather conditions
Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
  • Clear 3-year driver’s abstract
  • Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset
Work Conditions:
  • Shift work, on-call, and night shifts may be required due to weather conditions
  • Benefits and RSPs provided by CLAC
Rates & Premiums:
  • Base hourly rate from $26 to $29.25/hour based on experience
  • Premiums starting at $8/hour for winter maintenance operations
  • Premium starting at $14/hour for winter operations as a Class 1 operator and when operating the tow plow unit
